Simon’s daughter and Chloe’s younger sister. Very smart and bookish. Has an ability to figure out problems well beyond her years.
I found this wonderful video over on one of my favorite UX sites, UX Mag.
At the least the plain white bloggy-background is gone.
by Xris on October 19th, 2010It’s not perfect by any means, but at least the site is starting to get back to its 1.0 look and feel… hello look and feel from 2008 all over again. Note to self, don’t try the auto updating features in WordPress for a while. Give it a rest so I don’t accidently corrupt my WP themes again. I first whacked my site when I had finally upgraded my CMS after ignoring WP updates for six months. I finally gave in to updating mostly to take advantage of this new auto-update feature in WordPress. Plus, the included support for PHP’s child themes for the CSS framework also made this a compelling upgrade. However, that also meant I needed to collect my original changes to the Comicpress style.css and create a new child style.css of the later ComicPress theme. Much easier said than done and also something that I didn’t do before hand. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Awesome…I was trying update my WP parent theme and I accidentally restarted my machine midway through the process. Of course now after the reboot, my child theme is nowhere to be found on the server…yea.
I’ll have the usual Podscape theme back in action soon.
You may have noticed the site header taking on a distinctively 1994-era web look today. I’m not trying to go all retro and make Podscape a lynx-friendly website (even though the challenge sounds like fun.) I’m actually in the middle of upgrading both WordPress and ComicPress on my server and even though both versions worked beautifully on my test machine, parts are crapping out once I went live with the upgrades.
It should only be a few days to get the site working fully again and the most important stuff like the Comic already works, but if you do notice anything amiss, don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
I’m very excited about the new versions of WordPress and ComicPress and can’t wait to upload the new look for Podscape in the very near future.
